The first panel of the testing session will now appear.

The top YELLOW section is used to set up the crate.

Crate Configuration

This section lists the crate slots vertically.  Horizontally is the board ID then then the test types

The first type is board status and requires no communication between the target board and any other boards except the CC.  All the communication is via the VMB back plane.

 

 

 

DMB Status >>  panel pops up when you click on the ‘DMB Status’ for a particular slot

Top box >> DMB ID’s >> read from the DMB in the target slot

Bottom box >> Voltages and Temperatures >>, those shown in green are read from the DMB, most read from the CFEB’s

DMB fpga user id >>  should be 48547182

If not,

click DMB Utilities, click Load Firmware (right now has file hard coded)

 

 

 

CFEB Status >> this panel shows the return when there is NO CSC connected to the DMB.

 

 

TMB Status >> for this panel there is NO CSC connected to the TMB

Firmware date should be 02/27/2006

If not,

click TMB Utilities, choose file to load, click Load Firmware (right now has file hardcoded to be ./tmb2005e02272006.svf, no matter what you choose)

 

 

 

 

ALCT Status >>

 

 

DMB Tests >> Tests 9 and 10 involve the DMB only and should succeed without a CSC connected.  All the other tests require the CSC (CFEB’s) be connected to properly complete.

 

 

DMB Utils >>

DMB Turn OFF (ON) LV >> This panel can be used to turn the power on and off to the attached CSC via the control cable.  Thus it must be attached. 

DMB Print Counters >>

DMB Load Firmware >> The DMB firmware downloaded is hard wired and clicking the button will download it to the board

CFEB to   >> use this button to chose which CFEB to download, and to download the firmware to that CFEB.  

 

 


TMB Tests >> This panel is used to run the TMB tests.

TMB Utils >>

 

Crate Tests >> These tests involve ONE CSC > a single set of DMB, TMB, and RAT along with the CREB’s and ALTC’s on a CSC.  The CSC must be connected and operating properly to do any of these tests.

 

MPC Status >> The firmware version should be 20-10-2005

 

 

CCB Status >>

 

CCB Utils >>

Read Register   >>   reads registers in the CCB

Hard Reset sends a hard reset to the PC via the CCB
