Slice Status Status Update

After reception of the 3U VME 64x backplane, we (Yuri K. and I)  have completed building the "old-school" peripheral crate. It has been hooked up to a test pc and the first -basic- tests have been succesfull. We are about to perform some more detailed tests soon. Reconfiguration of the dynatem and the EmuDAQ pc will soon follow.

Following last weeks discussion with Jason Gilmore I will be shipping the old DDU to OSU. Besides a minor firmware upgrade, it will be slightly modified for the new S-Link mezzanine card (there is a minor incompatibility between the old ddu and the newer s-link cards). I am still awaiting aproval to buy a FEDkit, though, which includes such a s-link card. With only one such a set left (according to the DAQ/FED group) I would like to hear a decision on that as soon as possible.
